SSAB, together with Peab and bridge manufacturer Hjalmarssons, has delivered the world's first bridge built using SSAB Zero™ steel. The pedestrian and bicycle bridge has now been installed over the E22 highway in Lund, Sweden, as part of the Swedish Transport Administration's major infrastructure upgrade in the area.

On May 11, 2026, SSAB announced that the commissioning of the new electric arc furnace (EAF) in Oxelösund would be delayed due to appeals in the permitting process relating to the powerline that will connect the EAF.
