Finnair expands its long-haul network and starts flights to Melbourne, Australia next autumn. The route will be operated daily via Bangkok with an Airbus A350 aircraft.
The Melbourne route marks a completely new destination for Finnair and connects Australia directly to Finnair's extensive network via Finnair's Helsinki hub.

Just one day after almost killing everyone aboard a passenger jet, the US Air Force narrowly dodged another near-disaster off the coast of Venezuela -- this time with a business jet. For many, the two frightening incidents intensify a perception that the administration's militarism against Venezuela is as reckless as it is unwarranted and unconstitutional.

Saab receives approval for Arexis order (Cision)

On 14 November 2025 Saab received two orders from Airbus Defence and Space for the Arexis Electronic Warfare (EW) sensor suite to equip German Eurofighters. The condition for authority approval has now been fulfilled for the second order which includes AI technology by both Saab and its strategic partner Helsing. As a result, Saab has booked approximately EUR 258 million as order intake in Q4 2025.
