Der britischen Luxusbekleidungs-Hersteller Burberry hat dank einer höheren Nachfrage in den USA mit seinen Quartalszahlen positiv überrascht. Die Erlöse gingen damit im dritten Geschäftsquartal bis 28. Dezember zwar insgesamt immer noch zurück, aber nicht so stark wie erwartet. Auf vergleichbarer Basis sank der Einzelhandelsumsatz um vier Prozent auf 659 Millionen britische Pfund (780 Mio Euro), wie Burberry am Freitag mitteilte. Experten hatten mit einem Rückgang um fast 13 Prozent gerechnet. Die gestiegene Nachfrage in Amerika kam unerwartet. Auch in China lief es trotz Rückgängen besser als gedacht..
