The event is the leading platform for deal-making and investment in African mining. In the interview they discuss metals pricing, copper demand, and capital for mineral development, with Friedland saying "copper has a very bright future" and "if the Fed is in fact going to lower rates, then one could argue that these precious metals and base metals will do very well against the United States dollar".
