Der Gouverneur der polnischen Zentralbank, Glapinski, hat gestern angekündigt, dass die Goldreserven von aktuell 550 Tonnen auf 700 Tonnen aufgestockt werden sollen. Im vergangenen Jahr war die polnische Zentralbank der größte Käufer unter den Zentralbanken. Nach elf Monaten lagen die Goldkäufe laut World Gold Council bei 95 Tonnen. In den letzten drei Jahren stiegen die Goldreserven der polnischen Zentralbank insgesamt um 315 Tonnen. Durch die Aufstockung der Goldbestände hält diese mittlerweile die zwölftgrößten Goldreserven aller Zentralbanken noch vor der EZB. Mit dem Erreichen des angekündigten Zielwertes würde sie nach aktuellem Stand in die Top-10 vorstoßen..
