Florida Seeks NY Times Internal Documents Over Errors In Israel-Hamas War Coverage

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier sought to inspect records from The New York Times on Aug. 10, claiming the newspaper's pattern of admitted mistakes covering the Israel-Hamas war threatens the state's pension fund.

Uthmeier, representing the pension fund and the thousands of shares it holds in company, sent a 28-page letter to The New York Times seeking to scrutinize six years' worth of internal records, board documents, and meeting minutes, dating back to January 2020, and asking the company to prove it was operating smoothly.

Trump Shares Hillary Clinton Op-Ed Backing His Gaza Plan In Face Of Bibi Rejection
President Trump is currently experiencing a rare moment of his plans for the Mideast region being rejected on multiple fronts - even among allies, apparently. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over weekend rejected a US-backed 15-point peace plan for Gaza, which marks a rare and very glaring public break with Trump.
Netanyahu was surprisingly up front in acknowledging the complete break in policy vision from the White House. "Contrary to all those who preach to us, we do what must be done for Israel's security and we can and will stand our ground even against our best friends when necessary," he stated.
He said he was confronting a "wave of rumors about Israeli weakness and Israeli withdrawals on all fronts" and made clear that Israel won't succumb to ongoing US pressure to end wars in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran - unless Israel decides it is in its security interest.

Netanyahu Rejects Gaza Plan: Israel Won't Withdraw Until Hamas Is 'Genuinely Disarmed'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu restated on Aug. 9 that Israel has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's Board of Peace's plan for Gaza and will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed.

Trump posted on Truth Social in July that an agreement had been reached for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza.
Trump said the agreement is part of his plan that will be implemented in phases. As disarmament takes place, Israeli forces would withdraw, while an International Stabilization Force and a new Palestinian police force would assume responsibility for security.
Gaza would ultimately be governed by a new Palestinian government working with the Board of Peace.
