Country Garden expected to record up to 2.2 billion yuan profit after huge turnaround (SCMP)

Country Garden Holdings is expected to return to profit for the year ended 2025 due to the non-cash gain recorded from the completion of the group's debt restructuring.
According to its filings to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Monday night, the group will record “a profit ranging from approximately one billion yuan to 2.2 billion yuan (US$145 million to US$320 million) for the year ended 31 December 2025”.

Shares of Country Garden inched higher on Wednesday after the Chinese property developer disclosed that the Shanghai Stock Exchange had issued a “circulated criticism” over its failure to disclose overdue debts in a timely manner.

Country Garden Holdings has cleared a major hurdle this week after securing approval for both its onshore and offshore restructuring plans, offering the embattled developer a lifeline amid mainland China's property downturn.
