Faire Appoints Former Wayfair CFO Michael Fleisher to Board of Directors (Business Wire)

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Faire, the global technology platform transforming wholesale, today announced the appointment of Michael Fleisher, former Chief Financial Officer of Wayfair, to its Board of Directors. Fleisher joins Faire at a period of high growth and will serve as Chair of the Audit Committee, bringing decades of experience leading commerce and marketplace businesses through periods of significant scale and complexity.
As CFO of Wayfair, Fleisher led the company through its IPO and helped scale the business from $1 billion to more than $12 billion in annual revenue. During his tenure, he supported Wayfair's rapid global expansion and large-scale fulfillment operations. Earlier in his career, he led Warner Music Group's IPO as CFO and later served as Vice Chairman, Strategy and Operations. He also previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Gartner, Inc. and currently sits on the boards of Squarespace, Goat Group, and First Watch.

Wayfair Drops as Colder Weather Muddies 1Q Guidance (Bloomberg)

Wayfair shares slump as much as 16%, hitting a four-month low intraday, after the home goods retailer said it expects mid-single-digit topline growth year-over-year for the first quarter, which Jefferies considers to be conservative and attributable to colder weather to start the year. The company also said during the conference call that it sees 1Q gross margins “likely at the low end” of the 30% to 31% guidance range.
