Nuclear Weapons Issue Was Less Pressing Than Netanyahu Claimed Before Attacking Iran: Israeli Media

Private discussions between Israeli officials before launching the war against Iran in June indicate that Tehran's development of nuclear weapons was not an immediate concern. At the time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran's nuclear program was an immediate threat.
"We are at a historic moment with a crucial decision. If we don't stop [them], within a few years, they will get tens of thousands of kilograms of [nuclear] explosives," the Prime Minister said at a top-secret meeting the day before launching the war. "Iran has already enriched fissile material at a level that is enough for eight to nine bombs, and they are working on the weaponization."

Iranian Officials Fear Israeli Sabotage In Spate Of Mystery Fires, Explosions
A month after the Trump-declared ceasefire between Iran and Israel which ended the 12-day war, officials in Iran are increasingly concerned that Israeli intelligence may be engaged in covert sabotage operations on Iranian soil.
Iran has for over two weeks been experiencing a wave of unexplained fires and explosions, occurring almost daily, and sometimes multiple times a day. US President Donald Trump disputed an intelligence report that found the airstrikes he ordered on Iran had only a limited impact on its nuclear program, even though the assessment came from the Pentagon. “The nuclear sites in Iran are completely destroyed,” Trump said on Truth Social. He said CNN and the New York Times, which first reported the intelligence findings on Tuesday, “have teamed up in an attempt to demean one of the most successful military strikes in history.” Later, speaking to reporters at a NATO summit in The Hague on Wednesday, he said the report was “very inconclusive” but that he still believed the sites were demolished.
