Mainland bank apps beat those in Hong Kong and Singapore, study says (SCMP)

Mainland Chinese customers enjoy the best mobile banking apps in Asia, but banks across the region still lag behind their Western counterparts when it comes to a great mobile experience, according to a global study.
Three mainland lenders – Ping An Pocket Bank, China Merchant Bank (CMB) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) – swept the top three positions in Asia in the ranking by Sia, an international management consulting firm.

Sun Hung Kai Properties' (SHKP) luxury residential projects in North Point and Mid-Levels have attracted well-heeled buyers, including a granddaughter of Hang Seng Bank's co-founder, who snapped up a flat for HK$72 million (US$9.3 million), according to official records.
Magdalene Ho Mai-ting bought the flat in Dynasty Court in Mid-Levels, one of Hong Kong's upmarket neighbourhoods, according to Land Registry records, which showed the deal was registered on Wednesday.

HSBC is set to occupy more than 40,000 sq ft of space in Capitol Centre in Causeway Bay, as Hong Kong's largest bank joins a growing list of finance and banking firms snapping up commercial space in the city.
The London-headquartered lender signed a five-year lease, which starts May 18, 2026, for five levels – ground plus four floors of the building, according to Land Registry records. The deal was registered in late November.
