Durch die Straße von Hormuz fließen täglich aber über 14 Mio. Barrel – die Pipelines können also maximal nur rund 20% des Volumens auffangen. Für sämtliche LNG-Exporte, vor allem aus Katar, gibt es keine Alternativen zum Seetransport durch die Straße von Hormuz. China-Exposure: Peking ist der Hauptabnehmer von Erdöl aus der Golfregion und insbesondere von Öl aus dem Iran. Eine längere Schließung der Straße von Hormuz trifft China also härter als jeden anderen..
