Scorpio Tankers Inc has been a standout performer over the last year with a gain of over 130% from its lows. They operate a massive fleet of tankers that carry refined fuels like gasoline and jet fuel across the ocean. With energy markets being turned upside down lately, these guys are in demand. Fundamentally, the company is in a great spot. They recently reported moving into a net cash position and even raised their dividend to $0.45 per share. The current war in the Middle East has effectively shut down the Strait of Hormuz to most traffic. While that creates global chaos, it actually increases demand for tankers because ships are forced to take much longer routes to deliver fuel.
