Die Ausnahme ist eine große Erleichterung für amerikanische Anbieter von Computertechnik, die ihre Geräte größtenteils in Asien herstellen lassen. Es ist ein weiterer Rückzieher von Präsident Donald Trump bei seinem Zoll-Rundumschlag. Wie aus einer Mitteilung der Zoll- und Grenzschutzbehörde CBP hervorgeht, gelten die Abgaben auch nicht für Festplatten und Speicherchips.. --- US-Medien verwiesen zugleich darauf, dass die CBP bei der Elektronik-Ausnahme nur ausdrücklich Trumps Erlass zu den Zusatzzöllen erwähnt und damit die vorherigen sogenannten "Fentanyl-Zölle" von 20 Prozent auf Importe aus China weiterhin fällig werden dürften.. --- Ebenso wichtig ist die Ausnahme für Maschinen zur Chip-Produktion, die vor allem aus den Niederlanden von ASML und aus Japan von Tokyo Electron in die USA eingeführt werden..
