Das Euro/US-Dollar- Devisenpaar ist die am meisten gehandelte Devise der Welt. Im Jahr 2025 wurden täglich Devisen im Wert von über 9,6 Billionen US-Dollar am Devisenmarkt getauscht, wobei 21% davon im Währungspaar Euro/US-Dollar gehandelt wurden. Die Euro- Bargeld- Einführung erfolgte in der EU am 01.01.2002 zum damaligen Wechselkurs von 0,8897 Euro/Dollar.
