AM Best Affirms Credit Ratings of National Grid Insurance Company (Isle of Man) Limited (Business Wire)
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-” (Excellent) of National Grid Insurance Company (Isle of Man) Limited (NGICL or the captive), a captive insurer of National Grid plc (NG). The outlook of these Credit Ratings (ratings) is stable.
The ratings reflect NGICL's balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as very strong, as well as its adequate operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management.
NGICL's balance sheet strength is underpinned by its risk-adjusted capitalisation at the strongest level, as measured by Best's Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR). AM Best expects the captive's BCAR scores to remain comfortably above the minimum required for the strongest assessment, reflecting its strategy to maintain sufficient capital buffers to absorb potential volatility stemming from its exposure to low frequency, high severity losses. The assessment also reflects...

Verantos to Present Practical Approaches in High-Validity Real-World Evidence Generation at ISPE′s 41st Annual Meeting (Business Wire)
Approach to fit-for-use real-world data grounded in peer-reviewed, published methods, and industry collaborationMENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Verantos, the global leader in high-validity real-world evidence at scale, announced today that it will present practical approaches for generating high-validity real-world evidence (RWE) at the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) 41st Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
CEO Dan Riskin will share approaches to achieve fit-for-use RWD based on real-world learnings from large pharma collaborations and the FDA-sponsored Verantos-led TRUST and VERIFY studies. He will discuss “Data reliability: implementing accuracy, completeness, and traceability in practice.”
“The goal isn't just to measure data reliability; it's to optimize it and to do so using peer-reviewed, published methods so metrics can't be gamed,” said Riskin. “Evidence generated using low-quality or untested RWD remains suspect as it always has been.”

Wärtsilä′s flexible engine technology to power up Rapid City′s grid (Cision)
Technology group Wärtsilä will supply six dual-fuel engines with a total output of 99.6 MW for a power plant in Rapid City, South Dakota, USA. The plant will be owned and operated by Black Hills Energy. The Wärtsilä 50DF reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE) will provide flexible fuel capability in order to meet grid reliability requirements. The engines are ideally suited for the South Dakota region, where severe weather conditions can negatively impact the natural gas fuel supply, creating demand for steady power generation by alternate fuel methods. The order placed with...
